06 Build your first blueprint
6.1 Completion & Next Steps
Congratulations for completing the course! There was quite a lot to get through to give a complete understanding of Scrypto fundamentals. When you've mastered each of the topics in this course, you can be confident to be equipped to build most if not all existing DeFi applications today.
This goes without saying that we do suspect not every section in this course may have been the most clearest. Not to mention that we don't have avenues to cater to different learning styles such as videos, interactive examples, graphics, and so forth.
We are dedicated to making Scrypto 101 approachable and useful to developers across all levels. So please provide feedback on sections that you feel as though need to be reworked to enhance clarity.
In the meantime, the best way to improve your Scrypto abilities is to practice. While this course gives you the know-how to write Scrypto code, to be a proficient Scrypto developer, you must learn how to apply ideas and concepts into a functional Scrypto package.
To assist, with this we've created an end of the course exercise for you to apply what you've learned. Follow on to the next page for the exercise details!
Otherwise, here are some recommendations to help you improve your fluency in smart contract development with Scrypto:

Otherwise, here are some recommendations to help you improve your fluency in smart contract development with Scrypto:
- Brainstorm ideas that you find exciting and attempt to design how that idea would look like with Scrypto.
- Find existing DeFi protocols you find interesting, read the protocol's documentation, or conceptualize how the protocol works. Then, attempt to design how it could work with Scrypto.
- Find inspiration with the Gumball Club example as it is a full-stack dApp.
- While many of the examples in the scrypto-challenges and scrypto-examples repo are using older versions of Scrypto, you can still craft your way to reimagine it with the current version of Scrypto.
- Regularly check with Scrypto Documentation as overtime, we will create reference designs and example code.
- Visit our Discord channel, checkout the Scrypto channels, and ask questions!
